※He went to abroad last year.
※His uncle is in abroad.
※The situations were good at home and at[in] abroad.
※I made an abroad trip last month.
1.abroad 有“到国外去”、“在国外”的意思，但没有“从国外来”的意思。要表示“从国外来”之意时，应在 abroad 前加 from。例如：
He went abroad last year.他去年出国了。
His uncle is abroad.他的叔叔在国外。
He came from abroad yesterday.他昨天从国外回来了。
2.汉语的“在国内外”，英语是 at home and abroad，不可说※at home and at [in] abroad，也不可改为※abroad and at home。例如：
The choir performs regularly both at home and abroad.这个合唱团经常在国内外演出。
3.副词 abroad 作定语时必须后置。例如：
