Introduction

The demands of the offshore oil and gas industry have brought about a whole new set of requirements. The equipments of offshore structures are basic element of the platform. The systems and equipments of offshore structures are important for the ocean engineering， such as the mooring system， jacking system and dynamic position system. With the development of the offshore engineering， it has brought about the great development in the area of positioning techniques. The mooring is a compliant system that restrains a floating structure against the action of wind， wave， and current forces. The purpose of this chapter is to introduce some typical equipments and systems of offshore structures in the exploration of petroleum reservoirs below the seafloor.
