DIPTERA: BIBIONIDAE

A long series of march flies specimens collected from the Three Gorge Reservoir Area ofYangtze River during 1993～1994 have been studied. There are 3 genera and 12 species arereported，among them 6 species are new to science. The type specimens are kept in the InsectCollection of China Agricultural University，and the Institute of Zoology，Chinese Academyof Sciences.

1. Penthetria picea sp. nov. (Fig. 1)

Holotype♂，Sichuan Prov.： Wushan Co. ，Liziping ，1850m，1993-Ⅷ-4.

An entirely black species with antenna 11-segmented，somewhat allied to P. velutinaLoew，but differs by the venation and male genitalia.

2. Bibio emphysetarsus sp. nov. (Fig. 2)

Holotype ♂，Sichuan Prov.：Wushan Co. ，Liziping，1850m，1994-Ⅴ-18.
