Aaron

Older half-brother of Moses who worked closely with Moses in orga-nizing the liberation of Israel from Egypt. He served as spokesperson to com-municate God's will to Pharaoh. He gave several signs to Pharoah to proveGod's plan. He threw down his rod and it turned into a serpent which ate the serpents of Pharaoh ，he also called forth the first three plagues. He was thefirst priest in Israel，the founder of the Levitic priesthood. Once each year hewould enter the sacred Holy of Holies to plead for the forgiveness of Israel.Aaron died before Israel entered the Promised Land.
